So ya want a Tangle? Who doesn't? Then you have to fork over a ton of cash or gold, or go hunting Navrey Night Eyes.
Navrey is a huge spider that lives in the Underworld. She has three attacks:
1. Magic spells - fairly lame, usually will not kill you.
2. Poison - fairly lethal but usually cureable.
3. Melee - Which will tear you up!
To add to this offense, Navrey also casts webs on attackers. There are two types of webs:
1. Webs that stick you in the location that you are standing in. These are the worst because it leaves you vulnerable to the melee attack.
2. Webs that send you accross the cavern to one of four locations. These webs actually caccoon you and seem to last a bit longer.
Besides the Tangle you can expect:
1. Nighteyes - A pair of glasses that have some pretty good properties, including night sight (go figure).
2. 3.0 Pinks - Not a bad way to increase your skill.
3. Ichor - common imbuing ingredient.
4. Useless loot. Seriously I have never found anything worth taking back to unravel much less keep. Except the night eyes which one time appeared in my backpack but another time where one the Navrey corpse.
There is a special attack that you can use against Navrey; the rockfall. To trigger the rockfall you must dbl click special cornerstones in three pillars in the proper order. The corner stones are off-colored sections of the three pillars in the cavern. If they are not available wait until they re-appear. The combination changes each day so....Here is how you determine the order. dbl click one and count. Repeat for the other two pillars. You will find that one pillar blinks for 10 seconds, one for 5 seconds, and one for 2 seconds. That is the order for clicking the cornerstones. In this manner all three will be activated and a rockfall will deal mega-damage on Navrey. The damage from the rockfall does not accrue to the person triggering the rockfall. As the rockfall damage seems to constantly adjust; do not use until you have dealt severe damage so that you get looting rights; that is what gets you a chance at the Tangle, night eyes, and pinks.
Do not forget your spider slayer spellbook. This does not seem to help in summoned beasts, but does three times the damage on mage spells (only ones that I could judge). Greater dragons do very well on Navrey, but the rockfall certainly takes it's toll on the pets. Be kind and warn pet owners before triggering.
Also, Navrey does loot your corpse. So, insure everything. Is that how I got the pair of night eyes as loot?
