With the ability to bribe NPCs to 'better' or upgrade your BOD getting PoF is soooooooooo easy now. Remember that PoF is attainable at a 90% chance on the following BODs:
10 - Normal - Agapite
15 - Normal - Agapite
10 - Exceptional - Shadow
15 - Exceptional - Shadow
20 - Normal - Gold
20 - Exceptional - Dull Copper
So, all non-weapon BODs that are iron can be bribed up to a PoF. For example, a 20 exceptional iron platemail tunic BOD can be upgraded one time at a cost of about 2K gold to a 20 exceptional Dull Copper platemail tunic BOD. A 10 normal iron chainmail coif can be upgraded six times to a 10 normal agapite chainmail coif at a cost of approximately 20K gold. That is the most expensive upgrade and is still far cheaper than buying PoF.
To upgrade your BOD.....Go to the Gym....JK....click on the NPC blacksmith and select bribe. If the NPC has been bribed a lot lately they will refuse. If that happens select another NPC blacksmith...maybe even another town. If accepted you will get a targeting cursor. click on the BOD you want to upgrade. The vendor will tell you how much to upgrade and you drop the BOD on the vendor. The BOD will be returned at one level higher of metal.
