... to easily kill the "generals" from the new invasion that is coming to prodo shards in the next few days?
I've tried everything...
Mage, useless
Tamer, useless
secondary skills (bushido, necro, mystic etc.), useless
Has anyone come up with a way to take them out other than a small army?

I know you probably are doing this, but you need to kill the lower level stuff before the captains become vulnerable Sub. Also, reading reports on Stratics, it appears that some templates work best on some of the invader types, while other templates work better with some of the other ones. Supposedly the developers are trying to make it so that all templates can handle at least some of the invader types to "spread the wealth" so to speak. They're also saying it takes groups to do it, which is unfortunate on a shard like LA. Not so much on the more populated shards.

So unfortunate for every shard except Atl because it's the ONLY populated shard.

There are enough people on our [nuts ]ty little shard to make this do-able... I'm still waiting to do the new super monster they put out a couple months ago. I think Frog is the only other person I know that has the quest items to get into the monster's "area". If anyone else has them and would like to try that thing as well, let me know. I'm bored to tears with this game lately. My house walls are full of 100 stone fish I caught and stuffed. Someone save me from myself. I've been reduced to fishing on a computer, in a video game world as a form of entertainment...  |

You've been fishing. I've been doing nothing but killing butchers so I can get my 400th carving kit so maybe, just maybe, I can complete a set of pumpkins. The RNG in this game is so fvcked up I want to punch every developer in the face.

Nobody is getting anything if we can't figure out how to hurt the effing things.
Add this template to the list of useless garbage:
Bushido/Dexer
120 Weapon Skill (type is useless. None of them work)
120 Parry
120 Bushido
120 Tactics
120 Reist
100 Chivalry
I've now used EVERY skill I have trained, which is every skill in the game minus begging, cooking and forensic eval. So, unless we can hit him in the face with a pie, beg him to die and investigate our dead corpses for turn in points, I'm out of ideas....

True my first tangle took forever. However, the RNG settled down after that and I've had a pretty good roll of it since then. However, these pumpkins svck balls........

How about bards? Anyone tried to disco them or use bard songs on them? Perhaps that'll work?

Bards don't work. You can't provo or disco them. At all. All you can use are the peace masteries. Yeah, EA, way to make a PvM template useless. Again.

Was with a guy today that bag-ball trapped the generals and picked them off with his archer. It was effective, I suppose. Took about 10 minutes to kill it with my dragon casting spells and him dumping about 200 arrows. There's gotta be a better way....

Well maybe I'll try to get with you and work one tonight sub. Depends what time I get home from teaching class.  I've heard that ranged attackers were better on most of the invasions. I'm sure the bag balling will come to a swift end, just like with Exodus as soon as the devs find out..... |

Merlin and I went last night. I was on a mystic mage and he was on a necro mage. We were with about 10 other random people from the shard.
I think him and I both got 5 turn in items in about an hour an a half.
Need 100 items to buy a "crimmy". You do the math on how long that will take....
