Yet another copy of a letter I sent Mythic. *grumbles wishing she could just blow them up*
My elves are Purple! REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Why in gods name are they now PURPLE? I refused to play this game, until you added elves. I have ONE token human character for the purpose of checking in game lighting! So now, all of my beloved elves have the same skin tone!!! After countless hours of picking each individual characters look, matching their armor, and pets, and hair.
You took away our circlets, you added that cursed chat thing, and NOW you MAKE us ALL PURPLE???!!!!!!!
This is going to do wonders for the Role Play community, especially those playing Drow!
It's things like this that drive people to other games. (no, I'm not going anywhere, I'm too loyal to my guild and guildmates, but do not mistake that as blind loyalty for you!) And there have been more bugs and screw ups, and issues in this game, since Mythic took over. Makes me wonder if your actual goal isn't to try and heard all the sheep like players to other games you own, as you don't seem to actually care what the players in UO, your paying customers, want.
I do really hope this will be fixed, and fixed soon. And stop trying to fix what isn't broken!

Well the "new" developers, and Mythic, might now, FINALLY be figuring out why the old developers weren't as "productive" as they wanted. Messing with twelve year old code is no easy thing, as they are now finding out. Earlier, in the same patch bug, a lot of people who logged in animal form came back to find out that they were still in animal form on login but without the benefits of animal form. Yikes. Just another day with EA....................

Another angry letter sent to Mythic, this time about customer service:Quoted from your news site: "Fixed an issue which would cause Gargoyles and Elves to lose their skin tone in certain situations." In certain situations??? Logging into the game is a situation now??? And all of us that lost our skin tones are just stuck purple? You aren't willing to DO ANYTHING TO FIX YOUR MISTAKE? So I'm going to have to either use race change tokens, or do quests, to recolor my elves, because YOU SCREWED up and DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. But it's my fault and I have to fix it??? Never mind that if you had actually done your job right the first time, this would have never happened. Two of my characters I used special hair dye on, that you can't get anymore. It was some token hair dye that I found online. But I'm just out that hair dye, and my characters look, and everything else I've worked for, because you don't know how to program game code, or if you do, you don't know how to hire anyone with an IQ higher than a mongbat that knows how to properly install the game code. This is what you call customer service??? This is an actual service??? Gives new meaning to the saying "With friends like these, who needs enemy's" I don't know about anyone else, but I was raised, if YOU make a mistake, YOU fix it. That means, not only fixing the problem itself, but compensating those affected by the problem you created! Keep this up, and I'm not going have a guild to run much longer, because you'll personally run off all of my members, all 60 of them!

Another letter sent, as an afterthought...after having calmed down some....and then editing out the really sarcastic parts....
Now then, after having calmed down about your unwillingness to properly fix a problem you created, I do have a suggestion for properly fixing it.
There are tokens already made, that you can get tokuno dye and in the past, hair dye, from.
During the holidays, tickets are put into EVERY CHARACTERS back pack.
Why not, make a SKIN DYE token, and put one in each characters back pack?
Then those that used special hard to get or can't get anymore hair dye, don't lose their hair colors. Yet everyone affected with purple skin, has a way to fix it.
It would also be a fair solution, and would prove that you not only care that you made a mistake, and a large one at that, but are willing to actually fix it yourself. Not leave it up to your paying customers.

Ok, I’ve been more then nice to overlook certain things in this game, but it’s getting out of control. I lost a home on Europa, because all I could get is “pre-generated” responses. Then there is this whole out of control chat issue, and now all the patches that do more damage then they fix. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that you keep adding to a game without fixing current issues, or that you don’t take care of those who pay your wages! Quit adding [nuts ] until you get ALL the current in game issues fixed. The cheaters in Fel using 3rd party systems to gain an upper hand on players that follow the rules. Messing up player’s characters that they have work so hard to develop and you ruin with a bad patch and don’t or won’t fix or compensate them for. It’s this on going mismanagement that is driving players to other games and leaving UO. I spend $480 a year on this game and I’m tired of it being screwed up all the time! If you want me to sending you money, then give me the service I am paying for, or I will take my money else where. I will also take as many as my fellow players with me. I bet if you were getting poor service from someplace you went to a lot, you would not stand for it either. So please lets stop the BS and get this game back on track so we can enjoy it and you can make money.

Sev, the developers have promised a fix asap for the skin tones that will NOT mess up your hair. I fully understand your point, as both Aibal and Soarak have the Glacial Yellow and Ice White hair dye respectively that I, again, paid a fair chunk of gold for. With that said, my elves don't look all "that" purple, but I will fix them when I can.

It would be nice if UO would own up to their mistakes and compensate those they have offended!

The name of the dye is Skin Tingeing Tincture. The cost of the tincture is approx 2,500. Huh...they actually came up with a way to fix their mistake....I'm almost impressed. Almost.
