Oh, frog has to disagree with the quote: "There is no refuge from memory and remorse in this world. The spirits of our foolish deeds haunt us, with or without repentance." But we're talking real repentance, not just saying "I'm sorry" but taking real action to make right that which you have wronged. Frog has personally experienced what it was like to have really wronged a friend, but also having that friend later forgive the offense. It did take years, but I am no longer haunted by the regrets tied to this person; the sorrow once felt is replaced with joy, and the person is again one of frog's dearest friends.  |

Silly frog, then it's no longer counted as a foolish deed. The quote is referring more to those who either didn't take action to fix a wrong, or the wrong they committed, can't be undone.
